I have been using the HiQiS E20 for 9 weeks, mostly for my daily errands and the ride to the station, and it has become part of my normal routine. Folding it takes about a minute, and it fits behind the passenger seat of my small hatchback without removing anything. The 20-inch fat tyres make broken asphalt and packed gravel feel much less sketchy than the narrow tyres on my old bike. The display is easy to read, and the controls did not take long to learn. It has earned its place by the front door.

De HiQiS E20 heeft de afgelopen 11 weken veel korte autoritjes vervangen. Op een langere rit van 30 km bleef de ondersteuning gelijkmatig en zakte de accu niet vroeg in. Het frame voelt stijf als ik hard trap, maar blijft comfortabel over gaten en verhoogde tegels. Na 11 weken voelen de remmen nog hetzelfde en de accu vertoont geen vreemd gedrag. Tot nu toe geen spijt.

J'utilise le HiQiS E20 depuis 7 semaines, surtout pour mes courses quotidiennes et le trajet jusqu'à la gare, et il fait désormais partie de ma routine. My HiQiS E20 now has 114 miles on the clock, including rain, hills and a few rough sections. The upright position and saddle are comfortable enough that a 90-minute ride does not leave my back aching. I can do my usual loop of 11 miles mostly in eco and still have roughly a third of the 48 V 15 Ah battery left, even with a loaded backpack. It has been caught in light rain several times and the connections have stayed dry. Would buy it again.

I was not sure an electric bike would suit trips to the park with a backpack, but the HiQiS E20 has proved me wrong. The 250 W motor pulls smoothly from a standstill and keeps helping on the long climb near my house without feeling like an on/off switch. I check tyre pressure and the folding latch once a week, and that has been enough.

After 226 miles with the HiQiS E20, I have a pretty clear idea of where it works well and where it does not. On a longer run of 19 miles, the assist stayed consistent and the battery did not start fading early. The frame feels stiff when I pedal hard, but the ride stays comfortable over potholes and raised paving. Build quality feels a step above the budget models I looked at, especially the frame welds and folding latch. Cold mornings noticeably reduce the range, which is normal for this battery type but still worth knowing. I would recommend it, as long as you are comfortable with its weight.
