HiQiS Warranty Policy for Electric Bikes and Electric Scooters

HiQiS Warranty Policy

Welcome to HiQiS Customer Support. This page explains our warranty coverage, component warranty periods, exclusions, and how to request warranty service for eligible electric bikes and electric scooters.

Our goal is to help you resolve product issues efficiently through technical support, troubleshooting, and replacement parts where applicable.

Important Consumer Rights Notice

This policy describes HiQiS's commercial warranty and does not limit or replace any mandatory consumer rights under applicable law. EU consumers may have statutory legal guarantee rights, generally including a minimum two-year period for lack of conformity. Additional protections may apply under national law. Where mandatory law provides greater protection, that law takes precedence.

1. Warranty Overview

Our warranty covers eligible new HiQiS electric scooters against defects in materials or workmanship for up to 12 months, depending on the component. For electric scooters, the frame and handlebar are covered for 12 months. Electric bike components are covered according to the applicable component warranty periods listed below.

If a qualifying defect occurs within the applicable commercial warranty period, HiQiS will provide eligible replacement parts at no cost, subject to the terms of this policy and applicable law.

  1. Replacement parts: To help minimize waiting time, we generally provide replacement parts instead of repairing individual components where appropriate.
  2. Shipping damage: Please report damage caused during transportation within 14 days of delivery whenever possible. Include photos of the product, packaging, and affected parts. This requested reporting period does not waive rights that cannot legally be limited.
  3. Eligible purchases: Products purchased from the official HiQiS website or an authorized retailer may qualify for warranty service through the applicable purchase channel.
  4. Out-of-warranty service: Parts and repairs outside the applicable warranty period may be available for a fee. Contact support@hiqisbike.com for pricing and availability.
  5. Additional expenses: Alternative transportation, fuel, rental vehicles, loss of use, and other incidental expenses are not covered by this commercial warranty, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
  6. Shipping method: Approved replacement parts may be shipped through UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, or another suitable carrier depending on the destination and package size. Expedited shipping is not guaranteed unless required by law or agreed in writing.

2. Lifetime Technical Support

  • Our technical support team provides troubleshooting assistance and recommends solutions based on the information you provide.
  • Our support representatives will guide you through the troubleshooting and warranty claim process.
  • Technical support may remain available after the warranty period expires. Replacement parts, shipping, and repair services may be chargeable after the applicable warranty period.
  • HiQiS may request photos, videos, order information, serial numbers, or troubleshooting results to help diagnose the issue.
  • Most approved replacement-part requests are processed within 1–10 business days after all required information has been received and verified. This is a processing estimate, not a delivery guarantee.

4. What Qualifies for Warranty?

A warranty claim must meet the following conditions:

  1. The product was purchased from the official HiQiS website or an authorized HiQiS retailer, subject to applicable law.
  2. The affected product or component is within its applicable commercial warranty period.
  3. The issue is caused by a defect in materials or workmanship and is not the result of normal wear, misuse, accidental damage, improper maintenance, or unauthorized modification.
  4. You can provide valid proof of purchase, including the order number, purchase date, product model, and purchasing channel.
  5. You provide reasonable supporting information requested by HiQiS, such as photographs, videos, serial numbers, or troubleshooting results.

5. What Is Not Covered by Warranty?

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the following situations are not covered by the commercial warranty:

  1. Free accessories and promotional gifts: Complimentary or promotional items, including seats, storage bags, phone holders, locks, tools, and keychains, are not covered unless otherwise required by law.
  2. Normal wear and tear: Tires and inner tubes, brake pads, brake discs worn through normal use, brake cables and housings, handlebar grips, deck grip tape, plastic covers, decorative trim, and other consumable components.
  3. Cosmetic damage: Minor scratches, paint wear, discoloration, dents, surface rust, or normal aging that does not affect normal operation.
  4. External damage: Cables, connectors, or accessories that have been cut, crushed, scratched, incorrectly connected, or damaged by external forces.
  5. Improper use or maintenance: Damage caused by improper use, storage, installation, adjustment, assembly, or failure to follow the user manual.
  6. Unauthorized repair or modification: Damage caused by unauthorized disassembly, repair, modification, or installation of non-approved parts.
  7. Accidents and misuse: Damage caused by collisions, crashes, falls, abuse, overloading, stunts, jumps, or other accidents.

  9. Unauthorized repair costs: Labor, diagnostic, or repair charges from an unauthorized repair shop without prior written approval from HiQiS, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
  10. Identification labels: Products with removed, altered, damaged, or unreadable serial numbers or identification labels, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

6. Actions That May Void Warranty Coverage

To the extent permitted by applicable law, warranty coverage for an affected defect may be denied where damage results from:

  1. Exceeding the maximum rider weight, load capacity, speed configuration, incline rating, or other operating limits specified for the model.
  2. Operating, charging, or storing the scooter or battery outside the temperature range specified in the applicable user manual.
  3. Exposure to flooding, submersion, severe storms, hail, fire, or other extreme environmental conditions.
  4. Riding through water deeper than permitted by the product's water-resistance rating or using high-pressure water to clean the scooter.
